About me:
I was born in 1970 in Bakersfield, California, but raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I
hate the heat and have gradually moved north. I'm approaching my fortieth
birthday, and believe it or not, I'm at peace with it. I'm finally in a place where
I'm comfortable with myself and my life.

I've been writing since 1999, when I attending my first writers conference in
Colorado, and realized how much work I had to do if I ever wanted my dream of
publication to come true. I've always loved books, the feel of them in my hands,
and the smell of the paper.

I've worked through several painful ordeals in my life, and writing has been a
Godsend.
I've gone from living in Colorado as a wife, and a hockey mom, who worked
full-time--to single, divorced, and living on a small ranch in the rather harsh
climate of Northern Minnesota. Basically out in the sticks!

Through it all or perhaps despite it all, I've managed to retain my love for the
stories in my head as well as the characters patiently standing in line for their
turn to shine.

In June of 2007 my dream was finally realized when I sold my first eBook,
Leather and Lace to Ellora's Cave.

In July 2008, I injured my back in a horseback riding accident and ended up in
the hospital for five days with a compression fracture in my spine. I couldn't
walk for two days and I was never so grateful to stand on my own two feet.

February 2009 was a busy month, as I had two releases and back surgery.
"Leather and Lace" was released in print from Ellora's Cave and "Body Candy", a
candy-themed Quickie was also released.

Since the surgery, my injured area is much better and I can actually write again!

We have an American Paint Horse stud, three dogs, six farm cats, and several deer
who pay visits to our pasture to feed. There are fox, squirrels, chipmunks, bear,
and various other wildlife around these parts. We even have Timber Wolves,
though they don't show themselves very often. Many species of birds of prey,
owls, hawks, eagles, bats, and even turkey vultures... Our cat's live dangerously!

My mother is the poet of the family, though I didn't realize until a few years ago
that she passed her love of words on to me. I only hope to can do the gift justice.
I've never been happier, with the peace and serenity and despite the trials of life,
and this beautiful and sometimes harsh place, I'm in the process of healing both
physically and emotionally, though it's been an extremely
difficult and rough road.

I think you can have a hot, exciting romance at any age or stage in your life.

Fun Fact:
I began writing when
I was 30  years-old
after a lifetime
interest in law
enforcement. I was
a corrections officer
in Arizona for nearly
5 years, working
with both men and
women in minimum to
maximum security
facilities.
A job I loved and
that was NEVER
boring!
